This may sound stupid but can anyone tell me how I import a graphic file ( i.e. tif, gif, tga) to use for mapping. When I try importing a graphic file there are no raster formats supported. Am i missing a module? I can use the materials mapping with the included materials files but I would like to map some of my graphic files onto objects.
Thanks

It's been a week since you posted your question, I don't know if you still need it, but here it is:
In your Material Editor window, choose any material cell, then go all the way down to the Maps section, there you'll see a Maps column to the right, look for the button that corresponds to Diffuse Color, its map button will say "None", click on it, this will pop up the Map Browser, you should see on the right vertical window a list of different materials with green little squares to their left, look for the one called Bitmap, double click on it, then navigate to wherever you have your image file. That's basically it.
Good luck,
