Hi.

I have a report from CR8.5 that has data and a graphic. After export to Excel, the xls file has the graphic in blank.

How can I export to Excel with graphic?

thanks.

Did you want just a PICTURE of the chart in Excel, disconnected from an data, or a functional chart in Excel linked to the imported data?

So how did you "export" this graphic and IMPORT into Excel?

The OP simply means when a report contains a picture and the report is subsequently exported to xls.

I have seen this previously however have not had a requirement to overcome the blank image.

I will have a look into it and post back if I find a workaround.

My report consist in:

- Report Header = has a Cross tab

- Report Footer a = has a chart

Problem: when I export the report to excel, the file (xls) doesn't show the chart, only a box in blank.

I think now is more clear the scenario.

Seems that EXPORT is somewhat deficient of your requirements.

So you must go back and COPY the graphic and PASTE it into Excel.

Presumably, you will be doing this periodically.

If it were me, I'd link a chart to the data in Excel and then just update the data.

In fact, if it were me, I'd bypass the reporting application all together and get the data straight from the source (where CR is getting it).

The workaround I found is export to Excel 7.0 instead of Excel 8.0

The chart can be exported and viewed normaly.

Thanks,
Renato.
