Hello

I am new to MS Project and this question might be pretty easy but I still need help.

I would like to add a Graphical Indicators to my project. I created a NEW custom field and I would like this field to Correspond with the [Status] Column in MS Project.

When a task is [Status] Complete, I would like a Green color to appear under the new column and task. When a task is [Status] On Schedule, I would like a Yellow Color to appear under the new column and task. When a task is [Status] Late, I would like a Red Color to appear under the new column and task. When a task is [Status] Future Task, I would like a Blue Color to appear under the new column and task.

Is this possible? I am using Project 2003. Please message back if more info in needed. I have been trying different ways but I I really can't find a lot of Info on the net.

Thank You

Yes, it's possible

Insert a Text column (say Text10).
RightMouseButton on the column title and select "Customize Field" in the popup

In the new window:
Click on the Formula button to popup the formula entry screen
Paste "[Status]" (no quotes) in the appropriate space
Click OK to close the 'Formula for' popup
Click on the "Use Formula" radio button so the formula will apply to Summary Tasks
Click on the Graphical Indicators button to popup a new entry window

Row 1
Test: equals
Value: 0 (note - means "Complete")
Image: green dot

Row 1
Test: equals
Value: 1 (note - means "On schedule")
Image: yellow dot

Row 2
Test: equals
Value: 2 (note - means "Late")
Image: red dot

Row 3
Test: equals
Value: 3 (note - means "Future Task"
Image: blue dot

Click on OK a couple of times.

(Seems like a homework question to me)

I wish this was a homework question (I said I was new to this)!!!! I tried another way by using the % column but your way is what I wanted

Thank You
