I have created all the users/access/partitions/report groups from an outdated Symposium Web Server box to a new one. Users' access to the new box is working properly except for the graphical display/historical reports that they have created in the old box. How do I move (what file to copy )user created graphical displays and reports from one symposium web server to another ?

Thanks in advance for your help.

You may be able to do this, but you need to read through the CCMA Installation and Maintenance document carefully. There are certain situations where you can "save" the old settings and "import" them.

You should have done this before rebuilding other data as you may end up over-writing what you have already programmed. I usually make the users redo their displays and reports (helps clear out clutter from old reports that are no longer needed but may be running by an old schedule).

Thanks for you response.

I do not mind overwiritng the user information in my new server as long as I can restore all the user defined reports and user created graphical display on my exisitng web server. Could you please tell me what directory and files do I have to import from my existing Sym web client server so I have all the users' info?

Thanks again.

I'm not going to transcribe the Nortel documentation here. As I said there are specific configurations documented. You will need to read through the documentation yourself to make sure it applies to your situation. It is referenced in the CCMA Installation and Maintenance Guide. The document is on the original CCM DVD. Look under the Customer Documentation Folder. Once you open the document, look at under the upgrading to CCMA section. There are several migrating scenarios documented.

I do not have the CCMA DVD. I have to search for any Symposium CD and doccumentation that I have in the office and hopefully find the information you have provided above.

Thanks a lot for your help and time.

All the software and documentation for Nortel CCMS and CCMA comes on one DVD. It should be in the switchroom or with your IT department if the servers are in an IT area. Your distributor should have left it on site.

If you cannot find the DVD, your distributor should be able to download the document from Nortel.

This site will help me a lot. Thank you.
