Hi,

I'm doing a graphic for an exhibition stand today but I have been asked to submit it at 'Quarter size'

I don't actually know what this means, can anyone shed some light on it please?

Greatly appreciated.

We don't either. This is why you should be asking the person that calls something 'quarter size'. A quarter magazine or newspaper page is very different from a quarter of a billboard.

Chaz - That just means a quarter of the finished size. If they asked you to create something that was 72" x 60" you'd give them artwork measuring 18" x 15". If the client hasn't told you what size they need then you definitely have to start there.

kim is quite right. this is often the way it is done. create the artwork at 300 dpi - one quarter of required size. it will come down to 75 dpi at the output size - quite sufficient for an exhibition stand display.

Kind Regards

Thanks very much for clarifying, you've both been a great help!
