Using pagemaker 6.5 - placed full page graphic tiff file with images and text; resolution not the best; it looks better when exported into pdf but still not best. Would appreciate your tips. Thank you.

What do you mean by "resolution not the best"?

And similarly, "looks better when exported into pdf but still not best" - on screen or on paper?

The screen display in PM is not good - low rez, not 100% accurate colour. It was designed back in days before high speed graphic cards.

What resolution is the image (300dpi?) and is at 100%scaling in PM?

Image doesn't look good (it's blurred) onscreen in Pgmaker, but does look better after exported into pdf. I'll have to check resolution on image and also the scaling. Thanks.

Screen view is one thing; what appears on paper is another.

You can crank up the screen view via File -> Preferences -> General and select "High Resolution"

For a more accurate screen display of images, switch to InDesign.
Moving on to InDesign
