Hi,

I Have a graph in MS Access 2k which works perfectly, except when i go to view it in design view.

Then both the format and data of the graph changes to what appears to be an MS default or demo with East, West etc on the Y axis.

Is there a way for me to view my graph in design view and actually see my graph and not some random MS version.

Copy the graph control to a new, blank form. Set the control to Enabled:Yes Locked:No. Then open the form in form view. Double-click the graph to load the control with your data. Then go back to the form design view and you should see your data. Copy this control back to replace the original on the report.

Duane,

Thanks for this Duane, tried everything to fix this... exept your suggestion obviously, but then who would ever think "i know, if i copy this graph to a blank form and then copy it back again..."

Totally bizare solution, to an equally bizare problem thanks again.

Just out of interest, is this a known problem with Access 2k and why does it occur?

I don't know why they changed this from 97 to 2000. There are a couple issues with this step "forward". I think I stumbled on the solution by accident.

Another issue with graphs in 2000 is that when you have a graph that is linked (master/child) to data in your report, the graph may display the previous records results. You may need to add code to the On Format event of the section containing the graph control:
Me.grphMyControl.Requery
