Grandstream HT841 with call manager

Good day all,

We are switching a site to an all-ip CUCM 11.5 system and Im trying to interface a couple of Viking door buttons that require FXO ports.

Weve purchased a grandstream HT841 for the purpose, however Ive run into a problem with them.
Ive configured the Grandstream FXO profile with the necessary information, and Ive created a CUCM SIP trunk pointing back to the grandstream, with options ping enabled on both ends.
The trunk shows UP on the CUCM side.

Ive created an end-user on call manager, with digest user information populated,
and on the Grandstream side Ive provided that information in the authenticate ID and password sections of the FXO port setup, with the aforementioned FXO profile.

As mentioned - the CUCM sip trunk shows UP, however when I look at the status page on the grandstream, the FXO ports show 'Not Registered'

One issue is that CUCM doesnt seem to have a way to provide the digest user authent on a sip trunk: though you can easily do it on a DN.

Ive intentionally left the detailed configuration information out for now because I just want to start with these questions:

Has anyone out the tried to configure FXO ports from a Grandstream HT841 or similar on call manager?
Were you able to get it to work?
How did you handle Digest authentication?

thanks for your help!!!

For registering the device to CUCM.

The FXO port will need configuring for the Viking device, not CUCM.

Thanks for that post - I had previously viewed that video but since it is for FXS only did not find it too helpful.
You purport that the FXOs require no cisco configuration(I assume other than the SIP trunk)?
So I should be able to plug in one of the door button units now and set it up on grandstream to ring down to a specific extension and it will work?

As long as I have the ringdown and port stuff configured(and fxo profile): 1730830398787.png

even tho the sip trunk cant use any of that authenticate stuff bc cisco trunks dont do digest authentication?
just trying to clarify - Id like to be able to just try it and save us all some time but unfortunately that is not (or barely) possible.
Thanks

Thepfy, or anyone?

Is that confirmed that the fxo ports on the Grandstream do not have to show registered in order to function?
We're not in a position to be able to pre-test so I want to try to get as much as possible, as clear as possible.

thanks
