I have installed a 4 port Grandstrean fxo gateway programmed it according to the Emetrotel wiki and having issues getting it to work. The instructions seem simple enough so Is there a place where I can see the status on the UCX? I can ping the gateway from my laptop and from the CLI off of the UCX. The only thing I can think of is that I have the user id wrong and I have tried different options. I have even reset the unit to factory defaults and started over. I have even tried with an 8 port with newer frimware and GUI interface and still no go. I feel like I'm missing something simple, but can't seem to find it. I have printed out the insctructions and looked over it several times and no go...I only have 2 ports connected to the 4 port gateway and I see them as idle on the grandstream gui. I looked at cdr and see nothing coming through as well. Here is my trunk set up and I don't see anything active on the dashboard except for my sip trunks or even as offline and when I do sip show peers I see nothing but my sip trunks as well.

Under the Profile settings, the wiki does say to put your UCx IP address and Proxy IP address in there (step 10) and also to set the SIP registration to NO (the Grandstream does not register, it is a peer-to-peer setup). Under the Tools menu in the UCX, you should see the box if you enter sip show peers.

Your right it does say that as #1. I printed the instructions and it was cn the previous page, but I still added it regardless, as well set the sip registrations to no. I have been able to get this to work on another ippbx and I have a ucx demo that I will try on today.

UPdate....I got it to work on my demo within 10 minutes...the only twist to this is that I'm installing a 4 port and 8 port. I brought the 8 port to the office and got it to work on the demo and I also had a spare 4 port that I had taken with me, but didn't try it while on customer site since I spent so much time trying to get the new ones to work with no luck. (They are working with Sip trunks, just added some pots lines) The spare older 4 port works on my demo as well, so I will take the good known working ones back and connect to the live system and post back.....Also the 8 port GXW4108 has newer software and had to navigate all over the place, but was fairly easy and they have accounts instead of profiles like the older firmware. I may even delete the trunks and reprogram them on the UCX if I can't get them up.

Everybody who viewed this and didn't catch it gets and F, especially me!..(pie dripping off of face)..[bigears]...I took the units to the customer site and they still didn't work....long story short.....type=peer....that's all I've got to say..........my name is forrest...forrest gump!
