I work on PS 7.0 and on pc. I created a book cover in PS, and the title of the book (the words) were also created in PS because I wanted it to have a beveled effect.
Now, I finished it and sent it to the printer, they made a iris print and it looks beautiful just one thing I don't like about it, by the title words it also has a gradient overlay, but it's not smooth enough, it has like little lines vertically along the whole word any suggestion why that is?
I'm very frustrated beacause everything is really beautiful, just this little booboo. It was made on 300 dpi cmyk and then imported in Indesign 2.0 as a psd.

with gradients I always add noise - try:-

Filter / Noise / Add Noise... about 5 gaussian

Kind Regards
Duncan
