Gradient fill Problems in PSP9

Howdy,

Lately I've noticed that when I use the gradient fill tool in PSP9 the fill appears "blocky."

I other words there is no smooth transition between colors but rather definite delineations between colors.

I tried using gradient fill in another paint program, Micrografx Picture Publisher 8, and the fill was nice and smooth.

Any ideas?
