I am running windows 2003 AD with hundreds of windows 2003 member servers. Three servers out of 100 can not run gpresult from the command line. I am getting access denied. I am running current service pack and patches. Any ideas?

Check and compare NTFS permissions on the SysVol directory.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Mark - I don't think its permission because i can run gpresult on other servers without a problem.

NTFS permissions do not replicate between servers, so the fact that you have only one server not working only validates that there is a configuration issue on the troubled server.

I don't understand why you would so quickly dismiss suggestions when you are asking for help. If you will not follow troubleshooting steps (even if they only rule out a possible cause) it will not be possible for others to help you.

I hope you find this post helpful.
