Hello all,

I've got a GPO that runs a login batch script at start up. The batch script adds a couple reg files. One of the reg files adds a setting to HKCU IE to disable the proxy settings. When I apply this, the script claims to complete, but does not make the proper reg change, but if i double click on it and run it, it works like a charm. Anyone seen this before?

1)why dont you do that in the GPO Settings, rather than batch.
2)You would need to run that at login script, rather than startup.

Hope this Helps.

I should clarify.....This batch detects a network file, and if its found, it does nothing, but if not, it changes the reg entry to not use a proxy. Its for laptop users that take their machine home with them and want to use their own connection for internet.

try it with a login script

Hope this Helps.

apparently adding a "sleep 5" command does the trick....i have no idea why it needed this, but it does.

will be a simple case of not completing whatever gives you the result, or the connection isn't finished being established etc.

Hope this Helps.
