Hi

Trying to do this simple thing, but having troubles.

Need to enable computers that log onto windows 2003 domain, to have the messenger service enabled and started, as by default windows has this service disabled.

Please advise...cheers

In the services section of the GPO, just set the service to AUTOMATIC. The next time they reboot, the service will restart.

Works like a charm.

Thanks , just had to add net start "messenger" to netlogon script to start the service, as the service was enabled but at stop status.

Hope this is right

You don't need to add anything to the login script if you set the startup of the service to AUTOMATIC in the GPO. I've got thousands of machines doing that.
