Hi All,

If I try to open GPMC from any machine (on the DC, a admin workstation or even a member server) I get the following error:

The contoso.internal forest could not be loaded and will be removed. The error message was:
The docfile has been corrupted.

Anyone got any advice?

Cheers,

Steve.

Yep, tried on both the server and the client but no joy.

Thanks for the reply,

Steve.

Hey Steve, did you ever get a fix for this?

I receive a similar message when closing GP management MMC.
"the docfile has been corrupted"
then I get
The Snap In below failed to save
'Group policy'
This only happens when i change something or run a gpresult wizard.

This only seems to happen with this one MMC,
others are fine.

Hey,

Nope, exactly the same. No idea what is causing it - can't find anything in any server logs or anything!!!

All GPO's seem to be doing as they're told, so I'm not sure really.
We renew our Microsoft Partnership in a month, which means another 5 support incidents we can use - i'll probably log a support call with MS then to get it resolved. I'll post the results back here.

Cheers,

Steve.

Cheers steve.
I'll keep checking-might have to run filemon/regmon to see if I can narrow it down.
