It has been quite some time since we have done a GP update.
In this case, we are updating from v9.x to GP2010. All seems to have gone well, except that we cannot get GP to run for anyone unless they are signed into Windows as the system administrator or unless they right click the desktop icon and select "Run as Administrator". If they try to use their own windows login ID, GP will not load giving a Dexterity error message about not being able to open a file. All workstations are 64 bit Win 7 Pro, server is 64 bit Win 2008R2 and SQL server is 64 bit 2008 as well.
We have tried turining off UAC on the workstations to no effect.
It seems like we are missing something quite basic, but we have not been successful in getting GP to run for a plain vanilla user. Can anyone give us some suggestions as to how to proceed?
