GP v6 Disable VOID button in Sales Transaction Entry

We have a user that needs access to the form Sales Transaction Entry but we want to disable the VOID and Delete button. Let's just say she has clicked them when she should not. Is there any way to do this.

I know we can when we are ready to upgrade to v8 (next few months) but in the meantime any suggestions how to handle this other than to threaten to chop off a finger of hers each time she does it? She always has a good excuse as to why she voided/deleted an order. *throw my arms in the air and walks away*

In Sales Order Processing Setup you can specify for each document type whether Delete or Void can be used and if they can, whether a password is needed.

Check out Setup >> Sales >> Sales Order Processing and then click on a document type at the bottom of the window.

Thanks for your reply David. This is a solution however 2 people in customer service other than this one user do need to be able to void sales orders. This change will be global. I guess there is no way to limit just to one user like in Field Security in v8.

you can also set a password on the delete or void. Give the password to your "good users"

I dont think password is available with v6. Atleast I have not seen that option.

v6 I see that I can hide/omit the void and delete button by order id type. But it does not seem to work. The one user that I dont want to have the ability uses a different type order than the ones I do. Although I know she would still be able to void/delete another type she never really goes in there anyway.

Any ideas as to why when I go to setup sales order proces that unchecking void and delete still allow void and delete of orders?

its available. in the screen where you set the ability to void/delete there's a blank space for you to type in a password
