GP not being applied

I have a client running XP with SP2 and he keeps getting the following error showing up in the event viewer.
Event ID 1202 Source SceCli
Security policies were propagated with warning. 0x4b8 : An extended error has occurred.
Event ID 1085 Source Userenv
The Group Policy client-side extension Security failed to execute. Please look for any errors reported earlier by that extension.

I tried Microsoft's site but they only had 1 thing that actually pertained to this and it isn't working. I was hoping someone here has had this and knows how to fix it.

Any other suggestions by chance? None of those seem to work for me; I thought perhaps the suggestion about the erroneous script may have been the key, but it didn't pan out.

I'm confused and these "Warnings" bug me. *sighs*

Try this. In Windows\security\database delete or rename the secedit.sdb file. Reboot and the policies should take affect.
