Jean,
There was a similar question to this on the Dynamics Community forum recently:
Here is a part of what I wrote there in response:
We get this question a lot and this, to me, is one of the benefits of using Crystal Reports. 99.5% of the time the answer is that your Crystal reports will just keep working as they did with no changes needed when you upgrade GP. This is primarily because it is very rare for Microsoft to take away tables or fields in a new version, usually they are just added. However, once in a while it does happen, so to be 100% certain, you will, of course, want to test each of your Crystal reports with GP 10.0. We have created reports for customers starting with version 6.0 of GP that are still working just fine after upgrading to GP 10.0.
All of the above will also be true for SRS reports. My 2 cents is if you are not happy with your reports today, you should fix them today. An impending upgrade to GP 10.0 should not be a reason to live with the pain of inadequate reporting.
As Janakiram mentioned (thanks Janakiram!) we have a solution called GP Reports Viewer that works with Crystal Reports. We will also be adding support for SRS soon as we are getting many requests from users for it. So pick whichever reporting tool you are more comfortable with (or if you are having someone else write the reports for you, go with their recommendation).
