Has anyone had problems like this.
I recently got SQL Server 2005 Workgroup edition. I did the normal 'read everything I could' to make sure I was getting the correct version for my business.
After having to wait 4 weeks to upgrade as we were waiting for our accounting system to be upgraded also I came across the problem where DTS is not really compatible to the degree I needed with this edition.
I have since gone back to the reseller and they say we can't exchange it for Standard edition as 4 weeks has passed.
Being a small business paying out another £6,000 isn't likely.

Just wondered if anyone had any advise.

Many thanks

Scott

thanks for the reply...
I can't see where it shows that I can upgrade. I understand there are no upgrade routes.
Which leaves our business in a tricky situation.
I need DTS aka SSIS (now) and seem to be stuck!

have tried that. they won't talk to end users.
only resellers.

I've talked to them as an end user without a support contract before.

Thanks Riverguy..
I tried this and they simply refuse to talk to me. I tried to be as forthright as possible but got nowhere.
Seems totally ridiculous to me.
How can a small company be expected to pay £11,000 for a product from MS worth £6,000, when the original isn;t going to be used!
Urggggggggh :)
