We have Programs that will not run with these toolbars installed. These programs seem to be popping up all over the place. We need a way to stop them from being installed. Is there A specific way to stop this on Win Xp, GPO or maybe and exe or DLL i can delete on login???
Any ideas will be helpfull.

Make sure your options in IE/ Tools/ Internet Options/ Advanced are correct.

Uncheck the boxes for "Install on Demand" for IE and Other programs (two boxes).

Try running with the third box "Enable Third Party Browser Extensions" unchecked and see how this goes.

"This specifies that you want to disable features you installed for use with Internet Explorer that may have been created by companies other than Microsoft.
If you encounter problems with Internet Explorer that you cannot resolve, you can use this option to help determine if third-party features are causing the problems without uninstalling the feature. You must restart Internet Explorer after turning this option on or off."

That works pefectly. But it also disabled one of the third party things i need to run. Is there a way to be specific on which third party things i want to run?

All or nothing with the above fix. Things like Google and Yahoo Toolbars probably have an uninstall entry in Add or Remove.

Have you looked at Internet Explorer options via Group Policy/ Computer Configuration (or User Configuration)/
Administrative Templates?

There may be folders in Program Files that you can Deny access to?

There is a menu check box for Google in IE/ View/ Toolbars.
