Hi,
I would like to add search capability to my website. I was hoping to do this with google site search.

The url to my site is
However from what I can tell, the google site search will only allow search of the domanin name (ie mydomain.com). It will not allow me to narrow the search to a specific subdirectory within that domain.

One solution would be to create a subdomain (ie subfolder.mydomain.com) However for reasons way beyond my control, this can't be done.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,
Ed.

why not just try it?
Put the FQDN and subfolder into the value for the sitesearch radio button. The text for the radio button can be anything you want. enter a keyword and give it a whirl.

Indifference will be the downfall of mankind, but who cares?

Chris,
Thanks for the feedback.

Yes, I had already tried it and it didnt work. I was receiving a message that says:

No pages were found containing "site:mydomain/subfolder/"

However, upon further research I discovered the inurl: operator. If I send the inurl: operator with the form I am able to restrict my search to "subfolder".

<input type=hidden name=q value="inurl:subfolder">
