Google Search Virus

I need help. My desktop pc can no longer search the google site, including my gmail account and and google links. Yahoo search and other common engines work but I cannot get to google.

Any ideas? I've done the usual virus scan and ad-ware scan but nothing. Anyone one ever heard of this? Or more importantly, how can i fix this?

Can you get to

http://64.223.161.104?

Search your computer for a file named hosts. If found, open it with notepad and delete any lines for google.

Thanks for responding so quickly. I cannot get the http address you gave. I did a search for hosts and came a cross a few files. I opened each but didn't find anything with theword google in it.

However, when I typed

http://www.google.com

on my browser, I slowly got sent to

http://www.sogosearch.com

Whats going on?

There have been several news stories about this (do a Google for sogosearch from

http://216.239.37.99).

Google claims there was a DNS problem, now resolved
