google search: "link: www.domain.com"

How long does it take google to index pages that link to

http://www.domain.com?

when i do this for my site, it only ponys up several, but NONE of my most recent backlinkage? (within 30 days)

is this normal?

seeing as the link: command only brings up a useless random selection of links, yes, it's perfectly normal.

Thanks for the reply. I have even tried a few pieces of software and web applications to search out backlinks and none of those have been even close to complete, only showing what google ponied up.

Does anyone know of a half-way decent tool out there for checking this sort of thing? I know that nothing short of my own records will be fully accurate, but there must be something closer than what ive seen!

you can use +siteurl which will show all mentions of the site, which may or may not be links.
