Programmer
Hi.
I'm trying to create a website that incorporates a region type selector for google maps. The Google documentation seems hard to follow - and seems difficult to work out which documentation is old and which is current...
An example of what I'm trying to achieve: - this is ideal, but requires the ability to read the external coordinates and write them to a database for later use.
The ideal process is - 1. Read co-ordinates from database (if they exist). 2. If they exist, the ability to move/add/delete coordinates. 3. If not exist - the ability to add coordinates.
This example seems to presume some prior knowledge of the google api, which I don't have....
I would think this was a quite common scenario/use for Google maps, but I haven't been able to find anything similar that I can build upon. Can somebody help me out here please?
I'm most familiar with programming in asp.net (VB).
This looks like it'll mostly be javascript based. Again, I hope it's not too difficult to an existing programmer.
Cheers
