Google Desktop giving you problems?

Is Google Desktop giving you problems?

I got a new box of Adobe Illustrator and installed it. I then began to notice a problem of it crashing intermittently on saves. Several calls to Adobe told me to remove Google Desktop.

Has anyone else had issues with Google Desktop? We did not install it. Dell did.

Ive seen random troubles on different pcs/laptops that went away after removing google desktop.
Was just on a few and wasnt terrible, but problems disappeared after removing.
Still dont know why one needs it anyways...

I have had no issues with it and I am on XP Pro and have Adobe CS2 installed.

Get rid of all the Google desktop stuff

There are bound to be problems with any of those "toolbar" or "desktop" applications. Google isn't immune to this, though it's better than most.

The more pervasive or universal the application claims to be, the more likely it is that you will have problems using it.
