Google Cache?

Hi - why would a site that has been around for years not have a google cache? The site should have one but for some reason it doesn't?

Unless people link to it, or the URL is published in some other way (email .sig on an online post, forum posts etc) then I wouldn't expect it to have a google entry at all.

it has a PR of 5 and numerous back links which is why iy's surprising there is no cache - what are the conditions for this to happen?

All manner of things can cause a page not to be cached.

Does it get any SERP ranking?
