Google Analytics Data to SQL Table

Has anyone found a way to automate getting the web traffic data generated by Google Analytics into a SQL table.

There is no ftp option within GA, only an automated email, which supplies an attachment containing the report in pdf or csv format.

There are a few loose ideas I have, but I don't know whether they are possible or not.

1) An email watcher (outlook) that automatically scans emails for attachments meeting the criteria and saves the attachment to a network drive. (This must watch the local machine, in my organisation there would be no chance installing anything on the exchange server)

2) Is there a connection string that connects to GA. I have the username and password for the account. I can then write an SQL query using this connection string.

3) DTS/SSIS - is there a way of connecting to GA?

4) I downloaded something called "Excellent Analytics" which was supposed to be able to connect through GA through Excel, which we couldf then generate into SQL. However, I managed to connect ok, but despite being 100% certain the query was correct, it gave different results to what GA does when logging in to the account through the web and using exactly the same parameters.

Anyone solved this or come across the same issues?
