Our site is finally showing up in google and yahoo after months of waiting. The site is But why does google show whats on the top of the page instead of whats in the source for <<META NAME=&quot;description&quot; CONTENT>> ???
Can anybody smart out there figure it out?? My fault or someone elses??

Can I just comment on your page design, great page, i'm just not crazy about the bottom mouse-overs. I think it would look a lot nicer if you kept the background colours the same.

As for your query, sorry i'm not in the know about that kind of thing. I'm sure one of the guys will know the answer!

Hi mate,

It normally depends on what terms you are searching for..

For example. If you search for PEYTON MORRIS then it will take an extract of the page containing that and show that as a description.

Whereas, if you searched for FOLK MUSIC it would take a different extract regarding folk music..

This is so that users can see if the content is what they are looking for before they visit the page..

I originally thought that your description might have been added after the site was spidered but when checking the cached pages the description is there...

Most of the search engines have totally different ways of doing this..
