goofy?? how do you clear field name in save as window 1

hello... i need to clear the "File name" field in the drop down of the "Save as" option in word, ie...etc. for XP pro.

can any one help? suggestions appreciated!

While it is highlighted press Delete.

no, not the current selection....all of the previous entries that are inthe drop down list.

Switch your Start Button properties for the Start Menu to Classic. Select Customize and then Clear. This will remove the list of recently accessed documents, programs, and Web sites from the Documents menu including the dropdown menu.
