Good WSS Book - Which is the BEST reference?

I need to install Windows Sharepoint Services (not the Portal Server) onto our current testing web server that currently has Windows Server 2003. We also have a stand-alone SQL Server 2000 on a different box that has Windows Server 2003, thus won't be using the defaulted MSDE installation, but a remote installation.

I have browsed for books on the aforementioend technology but most books reference Windows Sharepoint Portal Server, and not just WSS.

Has anyone purchased any WSS-only references? If so, which are they? Are they any good?

Hello,

Most books will as you have notice include both WSS and SPS. One book I found good as a reference is the SharePoint Products and Technologies ResourceKit (ISBN:0-7356-1881-X). It however covers both WSS and SPS.

Gladys idea to look for webcasts is great. I have watched a few of them and really gotten some good pointers.

Then you have a lot of blogs about sharepoint aswell, which can be a lot of help.

Another thing to look into might be the WSS SDK at
