People,

I need some help on a little problem that I've got.......

I currently deal with alot of extension moves and changes each day but one thing that bugging me. When i go to carry out the changes the exetensions are in use ....

As you well know the extension has to be free in order to renumber it, End it, etc etc

Is there anyway that I can end a call on an extension from the console ?
Is there a program unit that can be stopped ???

Thanks in advance

Man,

What the console do you mean?

In common, there is no special command to stop only one established conversation and you can't stop PU.

1. First of all, block EQU position with BLEQI:EQU= ;
If you can't wait and want stop the talk ASAP, you can proceed with:

2. Restart respective ELU board (RFBOI:BPOS=....;).
But ALL the ext-s on the board will be interrupted.

3. Restart ELP6 or KLP1T1 program unit in LIM (RFPUI:LIM= ,UNIT= ;).
But ALL analog or digital ext-s in the LIM wil be interrupted

4. In case of external connection, trace with CTDEI:DIR= ; trunk board and restart it or respecteg PU.
But ALL the calls via this trunk board will be canceled.
For some traffic case or trunk boards you will disturb less amount of ext-s compare to 2&3.

5. Absolutely not recommended for this case but still possible RFEXI; command. But you will interrupt traffic on ALL the exchange.

Too easy...

Hi,
What you can do is
Ctdei:dir =Busy Dir Number
then do LSCOE on both the Equipment positions u will see in CTDEI.
LSCOE:EQUA= "The Tone sender equipment position" EQUB="The directory Number equipment" and use CONTYP=3;
Do the same command other way round as well with EQUA as Dir Equipment position and EQUB as tone sender position.
This should disconnect the ongoing call.
U wouldnt have to restart a program unit.

If you have ApplicationLink there is a simple way to solve this. There is a CSTA test tool included in ApplicationLink called ncstatool.exe. Use this to set up a monitor on the existing call and then just give the command to clear the call.

In response to epctfa,

LSCOE only ends the connection within the LSU, if you put the call on hold, and then back again, you are re-connected, for SUSIP purposes the device looks free, but is still marked as busy.
