Can anyone direct me to a good walkthrough sample - creating a project from scratch - for working with Excel through VB.Net?

Thanks in advance.
Steve

Can you be a bit more specific? Are you looking to automate Excel from within VB, create an addin for Excel, are you using Visual Studio for Office?

I want to be able to create a new Excel document (or open an existing document) and populate it with data - i.e. from database SQL queries, etc.....

Thanks again,
Steve

Again, another MS KnowledgeBase article:

explains the process quite well.

The important thing to remember is that you must clean up any references to all Excel objects, or you might find the Excel process still running in memory when your application closes.

E & A:

Nice...not necessarily how I would have done it, but still nice. Hopefully Steve appreciates it...I do.

Excellent. Thanks for this.
I'll run through this sample shortly.
