I want to take a bunch of my photoshop files/images and burn them to a cdrom. I want my customers to be able to put the cdrom in a drive and get a slideshow of my images. What would be a good program to do this with. Appreciate all suggestions.

Hi,

If you just want a slideshow and nothing really fancy, then Microsoft Power Point would probably do the trick for you. You need Microsoft Office though.

You could also take a look at:

Hope this helps!

Although not really a slideshow, I find that creating web photo galleries is a nice quick & dirty way of showing your work.

Just put all your images into a folder and choose File > Automate > Web Photo Gallery. Photoshop will create a web page(s) of thumbnail images for you, and clicking on any of the images will give you a larger version. All your customers need to view this is a web browser, so it should work on most computers out there.

Robert,
I have used Kai's Power Show for four years and I swear by it for slide presentations. It has an easy learning curve and is quite powerful. It will auto-create presentations or allow you to easily micromanage your production. It provides lots of transition effects for both images and text. You can add music from either CD's or .WAV files (I wish it would also use MP3's but it doesn't) It accepts .JPG's, .TIF's and other file formats that I never use. It comes on one CD and works with both Mac or PC. It provides a stand-alone player in both formats. The shows can be burned onto CD's and auto-played.

I'm a pro wedding photographer and I've been using the program to create digital proof books on CD and video tape. I've had great success and received rave reviews using the program. It costs under $50 (I believe) and can be purchased from a company called Scan Soft (unless they've changed their name or sold the program to another company). The program originally came out of the design house that created Kai's Photo Soap and some other image morphing software who's name escapes me. I believe you will be very pleased with this program.
