Hello,
This is a new one to me and I am stuck. I have just installed Windows 2000 SP4 on a laptop with an Orinoco MiniPCI 802.11b card. I have installed all the latest drivers for the card and the only version of the client manager that is available. The laptop is from Gateway and that is where I downloaded the drivers and client. The proxim website says that they offer nothing for a MiniPCI card and to contact the vendor.
Anyway, The client manager says that I have a strong signal strength but the wireless card says I am disconnected. I don't think that it is an encryption problem becasue other machines are connected to the same base station with the same key fine. I don't have any MAC filter's enabled on the base station. The SSID is not broadcasted.
Does anyone out there have any suggestions? Please, I am open to anything right now.
Thanks in advance.
Dave
