I'm looking for a cheap printer I can put out in the plant that won't crash and burn because of all the stuff floating in the air. I need something that can print on regular loose paper, has a paraellel port. This is going to be for light printing so PPM isn't a big deal. I've looked at some low end dot matrix's but most require tractor feed paper which I can't do. Lasers are too expensive. Is there such a thing as a Inkjet that can handle the external extremes of a manufacturing plant? Let me know of your experiences.

Thanks,
bobcat

Most can. But have you tried looking for used HP2s. Sell for $50 to $100 with better consumable cost.
You might want to get some type of cover over whatever you end up with. Haven't found any printer that likes dirt. Ed Fair
