Hey,

What is some good CD/DVD burning software? I installed nero 7 and it is crap, 2 many errors and such

i used ner0 6 before and it worked good, bnut no dvd support

so what software is good

It needs to have an option to make
bootable cd's/dvd's
audio
data
video

thanks

Depending on what you are planning to burn from:

ROXIO(formerly Adaptec) is what I have used for a while on both PC & MAC platforms.

It does music, data, & the truncated(compressed) video well, like MPEG4, wmf, & others.

If You are looking to get on the edge with Movies:

These are free but it takes the Decrypter and the DVD Shrink to rip & write.

This is integrated not free

Kind of curious to how you had problems with nero. Has always worked fine for me. If you dont mind please post your system specs as id like to know. Like processor, bus speed, cd burner/dvd burner specs, brand, ram size/type, etc...

I like Roxio for creating CD's and DVD's.

If you want to make "backup" copies of your movies, I like 1 Click DVD Copy However you have to use a separate decrypter such as DVD4Free
I also use DVD Cloner which comes with a built in decrypter. But from my experience, it does not compress movies as well as 1 Click DVD.

1.) Nero 7 is bloated, too much for simple work, but I have no problem at all with it...

2.) revert to NERO 6 less problems if you do not know your way around, as it is simple and effective...

3.) if you just want to make legal back ups of CD's then get Alcohol 120% (just do not install the Virtual CD drive) or CloneCD...

4.) if you want to make/create Movie DVD's I would suggest Ulead Movie Factory or DVD Fab Platinum, both are good...

5.) Search on Google for a FORUM that is dedicated to CD/DVD Burning, there you will find more answers and solutions to problems related to that venue...
