I am designing a page for a friend who sells assorted candles. The shipping of the candles vary tremendously so that I really can't take advantage of the free cart with paypal (even with the second shipping field they offer).

So, I'd like to code my own with PHP or Perl. I only need a page to keep track of any clicks on the assorted command buttons on the site and then submit it to be emailed to my friend who will calculate the shipping cost and inform the buyer.

Years ago I did alot of Perl and dabbled with CGI, but I have definitely 'lost my legs' for it. Hence the desire to build a simply cart myself.

So, the question is: does anyone know of a good tutorial for this? I have done many searches, but keeping getting ones more complicated than I need (ie credit card payments).

I have numerous pages (read numerous forms) each with products and submit buttons. I can't think what the best way to put it all together.

thanks!
Stephanie
