Hi

I have to put a GUI on top of PERL/DBI/MYSQL database and knowing nothing about Tk wondered if anyone could recommend a pretty straightforward, and well written beginners book (or chapter) or guide (online?) anywhere. I noticed that OReilly Tk got a pretty poor review.

Any help would be much appreciated. Just to reiterate I need something I can produce a result with quickly, rather than a lot of theory.

Thanks

Brent Welch's tcl/tk is pretty much it: it has a really good
selection of tk examples, and is a big help.

I would recommend "Tcl/Tk Programmers
Reference" by Christopher Nelson. It starts
a very concise description of the syntax and
then covers each of the commands with plenty
of tips and examples. This mirrors the
structure of the language.
