Hey all,

I am a technical user who wants/needs to learn a bit of basic Access 2000 programming. My programming experience is limited to an introduction to programming course, one Java course and an Oracle SQL course. Any suggestions for books that may be useful in getting my feet wet?

Thanks!

Marc

The "Running Microsoft XYZ" are a good series for getting your feet wet. The Access Developer's Handbook is also an excellent book for more advanced Access programming principles. I'd also recommend the "Unleashed" series from SAMS Publishing and their "Mastering" series as well.

I learned a ton from "Access Programming for Dummies" when I was first starting. Lots of IT folks don't give the Dummies books any credit, but this one helped me a bunch when I was beginning. Also, Wrox has Beginning Access VBA books. Between these, this should give you a great foundation. Jim Lunde
