Hi,

Extremely frustrated =P. I have one user that's attempting to run the one-button sync from her laptop and everything seems to go over fine EXCEPT when we run into the "Retrieving Cal" portion of the sync. Then Goldmine takes up 99% of the CPU and crashes with no error. Any ideas?

Are running Standard or Corporate? Version?

I'm running corporate. What was frustrating me was the fact that I kept:

1) Rebuilding the remote installation file
2) Moving it to the laptop
3) Uninstalling the original Goldmine installation
4) Installing the newer version over the Goldmine directory (whichstill exists with numerous files after uninstalling the original installation!).

The fix was to, after uninstall the original GM, either delete or rename the old Goldmine folder to something else (IE C:\Program Files\GoldmineOLD) so that when the new installation occurs, it doesn't mix contact sets or other files. Everything works perfectly now.

one tip: when installing remotes, use a path like c:\apps\goldmine instead of c:\program files\goldmine. Microsoft forces installers using the program files location to throw the data over in the documents and settings tree and all manner of nonsense. When you select your own custom path, the GoldMine installer is not restricted in such ways and you get much cleaner installations.
