Hello,
I have lost the incoming ring tone from all stations including station 100.

This happened after switching the system off for some work being done in the room. when switched on again, it worked fine except the incoming ringing tone.

The system is old (GHX-512) but the basics are more or less the same.

Have initialized all parameters (System , Co line, and station parameters). Everything work fine except the ringing tone. A caller can hear the ringing tone and if I press button 1, a connection takes place.

A telecom engineer checked everything and advised me to configure the CO line.

The sequence used on this system is:
off-hook
*7764
Flash (identical to Recall on other systems)
a two-digit number

Have tried:
off-hook
*7764
Flash
03 (Select Station Range)
100100
Flex Key 11
Flex Key 8
01013
HOLD
on-hook

It hasn't worked. I would greatly appreciate any help.

The manual is not that clear really. But if it helps to send a scanned part of the manual, I will do so. It is quite urgent! Thank you in advance.

Any chance of a response :)
If only a hint?
Would greatly appreciate it.

Hi mm1582,

I know on slightly newer systems like a LDK 100/300 there is a analogue ringer unit inside. When this breaks analogue phones don't ring. I know its a long shot but might be worth having a look at.

Kind regards,
Wishforall

Thank you, Wishforall, for your suggestion.
I will check the ringer unit.

Hi

Pretty sure its recall 40 for line programming. 01013 for button 1, line 1, rings day and night. Could be recall 30 though.

Will search for the manual.

Mr.Phones, Thank you very much.
The link doesn't seem to work:
Link

It says something like: "waiting for files engineering com" and nothing happens!

It could be a temporary thing, but have tried it for the last hour or so.
Will keep trying. Many thanks.

Hi I would agree with what Mr. Phones has said.
You're really on the right path except after you have entered the station number 100100 you need to press hold/save

Using a 33 button phone

It's Recall/Flash 40
sta range 100100
hold
flex key 11 (2nd page of options)
flex key 8
01013
hold/save
Sounds like the battery on the back plane has finally run down, you may have to do this if the power goes off again.
Regards
Marek

PS This system is vintage!!

Jonah29's pulled that one out the bag!!!! I knew there was a second page but couldn't remember the flex key for it.

Star awarded!

Thank you Marek and Mr. Phones,

The link doesn't work for me for some reason. A blank page is displayed. But I have written to GOLDSTAR in Ireland requesting help in finding a manual.

I am using a 21-button phone (GSX E-21 button).

On this system there is no Recall/Flash 40. The relevant available ones are:-

Flash 50: Initialize System Parameters
Flash 51: Initialize CO LINE Parameters
Flash 52: Initialize STATION Parameters
Flash 02: CO LINE ATTRIBUTES
Flash 03: STATION ATTRIBUTES

There are 6 extensions (Stations 102 to 107). Should the station range be 100107?

Have tried:
*7764
Flash 03
100100
HOLD
flex key 11
flex key 8
01013
HOLD

Still not ringing!
Thank you for your time and patience!

Oh ok
So yes I would expect you to use Flash 03
So is sta 100 not needed for ringing?
We assumed you wanted station 100 to ring
Yes range can either be 100107 or 102107.
Do you only have one line on the system?
Marek

Thanks a lot Marek.
Sta 100 is not needed to ring, but if it did that would be okay.
It's more important to get extensions 102 to 107 to ring.
There is only one line on the system.

I noticed that the LED light on Button 1 (station 100) is not let with an incoming call. It used to.
I'm not sure if that helps in diagnosing the problem.
