We currently have an ODBC database with all our customer information (acct#, name, address, etc) that I would like to import (& regularly update) into Goldmine.

I didn't know if there was a way to link a contact to a customer account number, therefore pulling in the rest of the data. The sales crew has multiple contacts for each customer & I didn't know the best way to do this.

Any help will be appreciated!

Thanks,
Connie

There is a program called 'Inaport' that does this relatively easily

As well, GOldMine has its own import tool, although it is relatively limited

From looking at these, it appears that this would be just for the initial import. I was looking for a way to regularly update the customer information & have the individual attached to the customer ID (in case we changed a customer name, address, added new customers, etc. on the main system).

Basically, if we currently have Main Street Construction as customer #100, I'd like to let the sales people set up individuals (John Smith, Jane Doe) as contacts for customer #100 in Goldmine. If anything changed on our main system, say an address, I could sync Goldmine & update the address for John & Jane.

I realize that this may be asking too much, but it's worth asking! :)

Thanks,
Connie
