Hello
I am trying to set up another Goldmine(5.5 SQL) install with the SQL data on the same server as my existing SQL data.
I am going to have a seperate exe and I want seperate calendar/gmbase files.
I cannot disturb my existing database.
Through enterprise manager, I recreated my GMBASE tables in SQL using generated scripts. The table structure and indexes look fine, Goldmine created the contact sets.
When I point my gmbase files to the new sql database in the GM.INI, open the exe, the splash screen opens Contact1 to Conthist, etxc, then immediately closes.
If I point the GMBase back to their original location, the exe runs fine.
In the Create Goldmine Database section, I see "Host Goldmine files to another server", I can't find what this will do. I don't fully understand it so I dont want to try it. Is this what I need. Like I said, I cannot disturb my existing database.
If any more details are needed, let me know. I need to solve this fast so help is very appreciated.
Thanks
Dave
