When trying to run Goldmine off the network drive, I get this error. I used to get the "cannot find IDAPI32.DLL" error message, then started getting this database error:

Invalid directory.

Context: openDatabase
z:\goldmine\License

1: Directory: z:\goldmine\

BDE Error Cat:Code: [39:34]
BDE: 500 [4/11/1999] GoldMine: 6.00.30503

User: ADMINIST
Window:
Template:
Details:
DIRNAME: z:\goldmine\

After hitting OK, I get this one next:

Path not found.

Context: create
z:\goldmine\License

1: File: z:\goldmine\License.DBF

BDE Error Cat:Code: [43:3]
BDE: 500 [4/11/1999] GoldMine: 6.00.30503

User: ADMINIST
Window:

FILENAME: z:\goldmine\License.DBF

Any help?

Hi,

It basically means that GoldMIne can't find the z drive. Do you have the z drive mapped? Also, to force GoldMine to open correctly, you can use the GM.ini file (in the goldmine root folder on the server) to define which path to use. It would look something like:

[GoldMine]
SysDir=\\server\goldmine
GoldDir\\server\goldmine\gmbase
CommonDir=\\server\goldmine\database foldr name

You can always use the mapped drive as well.
