We are migrating our integrated CRM tool onto Win2k3. This is causing us issues with Goldmine. Is anyone aware of issues with GMCOMAPI and Win3k.

On Win2k3 test box, the COM object appears to fail partway through login process. The same code works on our original Win2k test box.

Registry settings for BDE, BDE config, GM INI and Goldmine itself all appear identical. Goldmine runs OK on both boxes. The System Info shows the same details.

We will build another win2k testbox following our recent build instructions - to identify if we are missing a step.

Interesting development.

Our code is PHP. Rewriting the testcode in Visual Foxpro, the same parameters on the same Win3k box, it works !

So is the question - why does the COM object degrade when PHP code is run on win2k3 box but works on win2k box ?

The COM API in GoldMine prior to v6.7 was worthless. Don't even go there. There was a major re-write of the API for v6.7 nd now the COM API is the major API for GoldMine. If you need to use COM then I would recommend you upgrade to GM6.7.
