Citrix on an NT4 box with Goldmine 5.7 and office 2000.
Using the latest link from Frontrange.
Recently upgraded from GM 5.5 and Office 97.

I've successfully installed the link as admin. Works fine.
As a user, when I open the link in Word 2000, it reaches 22%, blue screen dumps and restarts. As well, if I try to start the automatic link from GM, it says it can't find WORD.EXE.

Dear 371 to Richmond,

I believe we've meet in the past when your bus clipped my car :D

This has to be down to registry settings. It should blue screen its a simple Word add-in.

Make sure your running Word Service Pack 2+

Make sure the installation of Word was in install mode when you installed it. Make sure the user can update their registry. Install the GMLINK by opening the GMLINK.DOT from within Word. Now put it back in to execute mode.

You could also try coping the GMLINK.DOT into the startup/Addins directory

Check that the users have the regstry entries for the GM Link in the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VB and VBA Program Settings

Richard.

Thanks.
I'll try your suggested update. It was definitely in install mode and everything went smoothly.
Aren't the registry entries necessary only for a particular configuration?

You're suggesting to drop the GMLink.dot file into the office startup or the Word startup?

There's a test user working now with the link. The Goldmine menu header shows up twice in Word, however.
And the other problem I have now is that Word complains of a sharing violation on closing. Says that Normal.dot is in use etc, when anyone is in the system. The file to which it's referring is under the user's temporary profile directory on their current Citrix server.
