Goldmine 5.5 Email issue- double outgoing emails to recipient

One of my users who is on a Windows 98 laptop has the following issue. Whenever he sends a goldmine email the recipient gets two copies. I have checked all his preferences and they seem to be fine.
Suggestions? Thanks.
 
Hi,

Could be that the database hasn't cleared it properly so resends, in which case rebuild your database.

Does it happen if someone else logs into that machine? If he logs in on another machine does it happen there?

Thanks, we already rebuild our data base each evening so I doubt that is causing it.
If that user logs in at another machine and sends a single email it works fine .
Other suggestions?
A new user at the old laptop also has the same issue of double emails.

Not sure what you mean by rebuild the laptop. Goldmine Network version and a local version is installed. We sync from the local every 2 or 3 days and then do a maintain.
What do you mean by rebuild please.
