I am in central Ontario and as of January, Bell Canada will be implementing 10 digit local dialing when they introduce a new area code.

Other than the obvious areas that need to be reprogrammed (auto dials, stored fax numbers, speed dials, cell contacts) is there anything specific to the PBX that I will need to change / look at?

I have a CS1000E at 6.0.

Thanks.

Not really it's pretty simple, say your local area code is 403 all you do is do a NEW in LD 90 and put 403 in the NPA list. You may already have 1403 in there for LD but you will need both

the way i've implemented 10 digits is point my local npa's to my local provider, lower the frl if i needed to.. then on my old nxx's i added a dgt table to insert the area code..

so unless you run into number plan conflicts that force a change you can allow users to dial either way..
