Ok now my CEO is in the stump on trying to figure out how to span our produtcs into being availible for Netscape users as well, I was looking at java a lil, unfortunatly you cant stick an activeX control into an applet, So I messed around with the AWT(assuming that WFC isnt compatible with Netscape's VM). I have some of the basic questions when moving over to the java development enviroment.

1) What kind of over the net database contivity options are there that are compatible with netscape(like we use Access and SQL server)
2) Are there easier methods to developing compatble GUI for netscape VM without always hardcoding the GUI in AWT.
3) How can we ask permision to a user to allow file access to client's computer throught an applet.
4) and anything else that you can explain that would help span the product from IE-only users, to Netscape.

Karl
kb244@kb244.8m.com
<a href=
Experienced in , or have messed with : VC++, Borland C++ Builder, VJ++6(starting),VB-Dos, VB1 thru VB6, Delphi 3 pro, Borland C++ 3(DOS), Borland C++ 4.5, HTML, ASP(somewhat), QBasic(least i didnt start with COBOL)
